Adil Alaoui has more than 12 years of financial experience under his belt having joined the industry in 2010 at AXA, following a masters in finance, risk hedging and financial instruments.

He rose to become a multi-manager analyst at the time of his departure in 2013, when he joined Quilter as a fund researcher. He has worked at Sarasin & Partners for just over four years and has built a career path in the increasingly crucial alternatives sector.

Alaoui says that over the last year the house has increased private markets exposure via new investments in renewables, real estate and hedged strategies.

The CFA and CAIA charterholder says that poor communication from a manager is a red flag, and that as a firm Sarasin rejects hard copies of marketing presentations to reduce waste.
