Adrian Todd is Investec Wealth & Investment’s lead analyst on alternatives and long-only US equity funds. Within alternatives, he specialises in liquid hedge fund strategies and infrastructure funds.

He has over 15 years of industry experience, including seven years on Investec’s collectives research team, which he leads.

His buy list has slightly decreased in size over the last 12 months, with the Polar Capital Global Insurance fund named as this year’s best performer. The most recent addition was the M&G Japan fund.

The investment theme of which Todd is most conscious going into the next few years is higher volatility across asset classes than we’ve seen since 2008, and the greater interest in less structurally directional alternatives that are well-positioned to perform in such an environment.
