A Top 100 veteran, Alena Kosava has made significant career moves since her last appearance. She left Ascot Lloyd’s fund management division, Avellemy, after just 14 months in May.
She then joined AJ Bell, where she replaced Ryan Hughes as head of investment research, following his promotion to head of investment partnerships.
She says that her career highlights have been ‘riding the wave of acquisitions’ over the past decade at her two previous employers. She is also particularly proud of making the right call on Woodford Equity Income, pulling out investor capital before the embattled fund closed.
She says better tools for evaluating performance of MPS product offerings is top of her wish-list, paired with greater clarity around ESG through development of global taxonomy and accounting standards.
