A member of the newly created CIO office at Rathbones, Elizabeth Savage succeeded longstanding chief investment officer Julian Chillingworth, alongside Edward Smith.

She joined Rathbones as an analyst 17 years ago. Between 2013 and her recent promotion, she was responsible for leading the investment research team. She is also a member of Rathbones’ investment executive committee.

Before Rathbones, Savage spent three years as a hedge fund analyst with Progressive Alternative Investments, a fund of hedge funds. This followed her graduation from Newcastle University in 2001 with a degree in geography.
