Ian Hooper has worked at Progeny in Leeds for six years and helped redesign its centralised investment service. He previously spent 17 years at Redmayne Bentley.

More recently he oversaw the design and launch of four new Progeny Oeics, in addition to overseeing all aspects of investment strategy.

He says the Fidelity US Index fund has been the best performer over the past year while the ASI Global Corporate Bond Tracker fund was the most recent addition.

Hooper says the use of enhanced index funds in portfolio construction will be the top investment theme over the next five years.
