James Andrews has Chartered Wealth Manager status and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Based in Leeds, he additionally gained his MBA from the University of Leeds.

As head of the strategic asset allocation committee, he manages Redmayne’s MPS, crediting Doric Nimrod Air One as the best performer on his 120-strong buy list over the last year. Andrews began his career at Rathbones, before working at the West Yorkshire Pension Fund, managing £500m of UK equity investments.

He spent a brief period at KPMG advising corporate pension schemes on asset allocation before joining Redmayne Bentley in 2016.

He highlights renewable energy as the top investment theme, as ‘the cost of living crisis and climate concerns has focused minds, politics and capital to being more sustainable from an energy perspective’.
