Jason Day joined Abrdn in 2011 as a senior analyst and was promoted in 2013 to lead manager on the firm’s model portfolio service (MPS). He has 25 years’ experience in fund selection and before Abrdn, was responsible for the development, launch and management of a multi-manager vehicle for Allenbridge Group.

Abrdn’s MPS currently has three different products within its range: a range of whole-of-market funds; passive funds; as well as a sustainable MPS option.

The five-strong ESG MPS range was launched in October 2020 (back when the division was called Aberdeen Standard Capital), with Day managing the MPS range alongside Darren Ripton and Eric Louw.  

Abrdn said at the time that the portfolios would comprise ‘well-run’ companies, targeting those that are making a difference in achieving the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
