Kalinka Dyankova celebrates a decade in fund selection this year having joined Kleinwort Hambros as a senior analyst at the end of 2021.

She joined the bank following seven years at Lyxor in a career which has also included Société Générale and Credit Agricole. At Kleinwort Hambros she heads UK equity, GBP bonds and GEM equity fund buying, and is also involved in the selection of regional GEMs, Japan and thematic equities.

She says that turnover in the buy list is normally low and has stayed so this year. ‘We have been monitoring the performance of the strategies and adjusting the rating where we felt appropriate. Generally speaking, the turnover is around 10% per year.’
