Kamal Warraich is the head of equity fund research at Canaccord Genuity, a role that he was recently promoted to after spending eight-years as an investment analyst.

A specialist in UK fund selection, Warraich’s thorough qualitative research skills have guided his decision-making for the wealth manager throughout his time there.  He began his career as a trainee fund analyst at Hargreave Hale where he worked for over three years, rising to co-head of the fund research department at the firm.  

Over the last year Warraich has seen that the managers with higher levels of mid-cap exposure have been negatively placed by the markets, while quality managers have been able to weather the stormy waters.

He believes that the world is at a real inflection point when it comes to the proliferation of renewable energy sources.

His ideal job, if he had not joined the investment industry, would be to pursue his love for animals by working in conservation.
