After graduating with a degree in mathematics, Leslie Gent started her career at Morgan Stanley-subsidiary and electronic asset trading platform E-Trade, based in Virginia.

Prior to joining Coutts, Gent worked as director at the Charles Schwab investment research division in San Francisco, where she specialised in manager selecting and asset allocation.

She joined Coutts 16 years ago as head of investment consulting and product analysis in its London office, before being promoted to head of private banking investments and portfolio manager.

Gent now leads the firm’s approach to responsible investing and is also a CFA charterholder.
