Lynn Hutchinson joined Charles Stanley in 2013 via its acquisition of John Redwood’s low-cost index investment business Evercore Pan Asset, where she had worked since 2008. She continues that heritage by specialising in the ETF and index fund component of the company’s buy lists.

She is currently bullish on L&G’s Global Infrastructure ETF, which has returned more than 20% over one year.  

She chose to invest in income and clean energy strategies this year, which have both outperformed. But Hutchinson also notes that the decision to invest in cloud computing and Chinese internet firms did not create the performance she and her colleagues hoped.  

Despite that disappointment, iShares MSCI EM ex-China Ucits ETF was the most recent addition to her fund selection.
