Nancy Curtin joined family office Alvarium in May 2020 after more than a decade at Close Brothers Asset Management, where she was CIO and head of investments.

Curtin, a former Wealth Manager cover star, had originally joined Close Brothers via its 2006 purchase of hedge fund Fortune Asset Management, where she served as CIO, having joined in 2002. Her previous roles also include managing partner and independent investment adviser at Internet Finance Partners, a venture capital division of Schroders.

She was also head of global investment mutual funds for Schroders and head of emerging markets for Baring Asset Management.

Curtin is also a non-executive director of a US public board focused on private equity real estate, with an increasing focus on digital infrastructure.
