On graduating from the University of Ireland in 1999, Nathan Sweeney dived straight into the investment management world. With more than 20 years’ investment management experience he is not only well versed in multi-manager funds, but ESG, asset allocation and portfolio management.

During his time within the industry he has been a key decision maker within various investment committees, and has worked at Dublin-based AIB Investment Managers, Cazenove Capital and Liontrust Asset Management. The majority of his career, however, was at Architas where he spent 10 years as a senior investment manager.

Here he managed the £1bn Architas Multi-Asset Active range which was a suite of six risk-profiled funds where he was responsible for asset allocation and fund selection across multiple regions and asset classes.

Since joining Marlborough in 2021, he manages its offshore multi-asset funds and is the sector specialist for North American equities and specialist investments.
