Shakhista Mukhamedova heads fixed income and alternatives research at Brewin Dolphin, where she has worked since 2010. She is currently working on building a team and is ‘excited’ to find people who will broaden the firm’s coverage of alternative assets and private markets.

In the last 12 months she has helped add more alternative strategies, such as specialist infrastructure, to the firm’s buy list. She believes sustainability will continue to dominate investors’ agendas in the next five years.

If she were not working in wealth management, she would like to be a National Geographic photographer. ‘After being grounded for two years I really feel a need to travel.’
