Stuart Derrick’s investment career began at Barings Asset Management in 1998 where he worked for three years in fund accounting. He transferred to Schroders as an investment analyst in 2004 and was appointed head of manager selection at Cazenove Capital in 2014.

In this role he has control over the entire manager selection function at the firm, requiring a broad knowledge of all asset classes and the fund managers that operate in each discipline. Over the last 12 months he has introduced alternative funds into his portfolio selection for diversification.

He believes that since the global economy is at a crossroads as quantitative easing is ending as a strategy for central banks, investors are going to have to be nimbler in their approach.
