As Barclays Private Bank’s lead investment advisor for UHNW individuals living in the UK, Tommy Doan’s best call this year was to ‘stay invested’.

His biggest regret was not having exposure to commodities at the start of the year. Doan joined Barclays in 2019 and has over 13 years’ experience within the wealth management industry.

During this time, he has covered entrepreneurs, corporate professionals as well as universities and charities across institutions including Coutts, Citibank and HSBC Private Bank.

Over the last 12 months, he has focused on finding diversifying opportunities with low correlation to public markets, with a focus on actively managed funds able to navigate the current volatility.

His best performing fund has been the WisdomTree Gold ETF.
