Tony Yousefian has been a fund manager at Beckett Asset Management since 2019, but his experience in the industry dates back nearly four decades.

He started out as a private client portfolio manager at Pride consultants in 1984, staying at the firm until 1993. His longest stint in the industry was at OPM Fund Management, however, where he was chief investment officer and worked from 1997 to 2013.

In the span of his long career, his proudest achievements have been the launch of OPM’s range of funds in 2003 and the launched of Beckett’s Blenheim Funds, which have seen their assets nearly double in under two years.

His advice to young investors is: ‘Continually evaluate the downside as much as the upside, and remember that losses have a far bigger impact on a portfolio than gains; I know I have the scars to prove it!’
