Making his second consecutive appearance in the Wealth Manager Top 100, Wee-Tsen Lee has spent 15 years in fund selection and multi-manager portfolio research. He joined Lockhart in 2020, having previously served as senior analyst at Santander Asset Management.
He previously worked at Barclays Wealth and Russell Investments. His best investment call this year has been to remain cautious, with reduced exposure to both equities and fixed income, and higher exposure to real assets and alternatives proving beneficial.
Relatively, the best performing strategy in the last 12 months has been the AXA IM Credit Short Duration Bond fund. If he was not a fund selector, Lee says he would probably be a detective or archaeologist.
He likes the idea of piecing together data and evidence to uncover the unknown.
